Does this game work for Windows 10?

I want to buy this game for my computer but I wanted to know if this game runs on Windows 10 because, I heard the more new your computer is, the laggier this game runs.

Do like most people do and buy this only for the *.wad files and then use a source port.

Runs fine for me on windows 10, no issues at all
edit: you may have to run Dosbox in compatability mode set to Windows Vista Service pack 2 to get the game past the intro card

Two things you need to do if you want to play the shipped version:

1. Replace DOSBOX.EXE and both DLLs with ones from DosBox 0.74-2 (the latest release). DosBox version included with Doom games on Steam is just too old.

2. In all .conf files, replace output=ddraw with output=opengl. DirectDraw is not hardware-accelerated in latest Windows, and can cause issues and lock-ups. When using OpenGL output, you don't have to run the game in compatibility mode.
