Need help Completing a Run (14 days)
Manage to Unlock Most Basic resource and roads except those requiring more than 50 and the additional worker for 500 gold.

Can't seem to get pass day 12 or 13


my build is

tavern > Lumber yard > house > Repair > house > Quarry > repair > house

Can't get around to buying second special unit for 2 gold.


I then try getting the wild Stone and gold mines as sometimes I run out.



Need some tips how to move forward in my build order or what hero to use. My prefer unit is the Runemage but the longest run I get is when I have the charging lizard or the satyr.

Upgrading the crossbowman worked for me.
Putting him behind the swordsman seems quiet good too

Get a extra horse ur gonna need it with 5-6 workers, also buying 2gold hero not needed, just get a portal or siege,

Shaman OP Put him on the wall, archer infront of him, Runepriest infront of archer, Swordmen and Hero on each side GG you win

I'm also having these issues; I can't seem to get past day 12 at all. I seem to have all the upgrades I can get. My meta upgrades, I'm still just working on the banishes and rerolls but that'll max out all my meta for the knight hero. My usual build looks a lot like yours with tavern -> lumber yard -> house 1 (puts me at 3 workers since i have one level in the town) -> upgrade with my starting stone -> house 2 -> quarry all on day 1. I usually have the second expanded storage on day 2 into house 3 to have 5 workers -> forestry to make wood gathering my efficient then by the end of day 4 i have the crossbowman at 2 stars and try to kill the miniboss on day 5. From here, i try to swing my production into getting swordsman to 2 stars by focusing all my energy into stone production, but while this works alright for the goblin boss, i just get royally destroyed by the flame worms. usually i eventally split my labor and try to have bread production up around day 8 or so. I don't know what more i can do. I have a level into the orb, the fishing dock, and the town and can't get over 250 gold by day 12 before getting destroyed.

I dont think bread is worth the work, right?
Basically 3 building slots and 3 workers are occupied by it.
Maybe try meat. That is only one building slot and one workflow per piece, instead of 3 workflows per piece. Take a whole day to fill the building with workers, so you have more than you need. That upgrades the surplus another level over night. The rest of the time berries will do fine.

Hmm.. I am no expert but do want to try to help.
and will give some comment to what rougesforhire wrote.
personally I find swordsman really hard to upgrade and doesn't do it( had a few go at trying to make him 3 stars but failed so far). You need the stone for too many other things. for example gold smelter, walls upgrade that boost all heroes and hunter hut(hunter hut is optional). getting these 3 things will take 28 stones compared to spending 28 on getting a swordman and getting him to 2 stars...
Bread making I have found to be problematic in this demo. you need 3+1 buildings to get it going. (farmer, mill, baker and well) allso by using 3 big slots for this you block yourself from gold smelter and can't upgrade gold heroes or get 3 stars on any.
other tips... well getting 2 gold bars from merchant is a must. material wise I think wood boards are most value(reroll). using it on another hero at day 6 is optional. but whit length of demo you will only be able to mine enough gold to max out one gold hero just barely.
Hunters hut. is an odd one. if you get it, I would recommend maxing it out until all food it can get is gone. because meat will increase in xp boost per day its not eaten so the more you have lying around at inn the better boost it will give.

I don't have max meta progress but this worked for me a couple times.
tavern > Lumber yard > house > Repair > house > Quarry > repair > house
crossbow man on day 2 to start feeding him xp
day 4 don't spend in case merchant has a 2 gold trade, otherwise it's not needed
day five use the out of town location with 5 glory to get wheat and buy the priest (with witch upgrade the heals are good and he will get you the holy relic before day 14) make sure tavern is upgraded for more units on field
keep advancing, prioritize getting hunter hut, lots of stone for walls, last building spot i have i build a portal. Then start gathering gold bars. At this point I'll get around to the knight, just for another body but it doesnt do much.

As I was able to win my first run when I was able to buy 2 heroes by accident on a lucky 2 gold ingot for 3 boards.

Also on that run the hero I got where the dino and the Styr that knocks enemies back that just gave some time for the hero to kill enemies until the 14 day. Final demo boss killed all my units except the hero and I won. But I no longer able to repeat it yet.


So I will try what you guys suggest. thanks for the tips

So I was able to luck into a run to get the glory to expand to the dock; completely axed the bread production line and it was absolutely worth it to go for ingots. Rapidly went from curse 0 to curse 1 day 13 after getting the timings down. Here's my current build order.

day 1: use mysterious orb for starting wood; went tavern > lumber > house 1 with start wood > expand storage with starting stone > house 2 on day 1 > quarry on day 1 till 8 stone > expand storage 2 > all back to lumber mill with forester > house 3 on day 2 > wood workshop for 5 planks > fishermen to get my daily fish > get xbowman > focus wood till xbowman hits 2 stars round day 4 or day 5? couldn't remember exactly. >trade planks for 2 ingots for another hero > make 3 planks to get gold mine > focus stone till walls and gatehouse if I got hero 2, otherwise cut gatehouse and focus on gold/ingot production to level hero.

my hero focus tends towards anyone that has decent aoe; runescribe was great, djinn is great, treant is great, satyr is okay, cyclops is alright, werewolf was alright. halfling feels okay as a second hero, but isn't my first pick.
death priest is alright for a second pick, i'm not sure about most of the other minions as i just don't see the desire to force myself to throw runs towards unlocking a specific minion. like, the gunner needing 7 beers? are beers even worth production?

Thanks everyone Ill try your tips. haven't tried the portal yet, But Siege units seems expensive.


do you guys upgrade the Wild quary and goldmine? I just realized they can run out.

Finally what does the prospector do does it replace stone and gold?

The prospector will "roll" and spawn a stone or gold rock, but he can only ever "roll" once per tile, he is worth it!
I've never upgraded the stone mine and never buy the gold mine.
