Outpost selection is "permanent" for that run, isn't it? Seems to only be the 1 outpost (haven't gotten past the second boss yet), so it seems like the early runs where you know you won't get far enough to process gold, you should select a resource, and once you have a bunch of stuff unlocked and you can get far enough to get gold to upgrade your "special" unit, you use the outpost to evolve them. Is that about right?

but, hear me out, you could buy 2 bonfires instead of getting resources or upgrading your units :D

as a disclaimer, dont get two bonfires unless youre prepared to get rocked. im insane so i like the challenge and have a bunch of stuff unlocked before updates properly blocked them.
