Literally every [Insert random job/hobby here] Simulator [Insert current year here].
Do you think they bought the IP from Microsoft Flight Simulator 95?
Minimalist graphic is not particularly unique either lol.
"I'll comment anyway"
Masturbator.
IP = Intellectual Property.
If you make a game that basically rips off design, graphics, style, etc. you can get sued. I thought this is the same company, but it is a different one?
If they don't have clearance, they are clearly in violation. They copied the name, the user interface, the font, the way how the menu is represented.
The question you can ask yourself: Did or did you not think it is the same company? I sure did, so did many others. There are even people who supported their Kickstarter because of how similar it looked, only to then realize that the company that made Mini Motorways and Mini Metro would not need Kickstarter money.
It is a pitty, since the game concept is quite refreshing.
So it is a knock off yeah? I thought as much

So let's address the elephant in the room: It looks a lot like Mini Metro & Mini Motorways. What's up with that?
Mini Metro and Mini Motorways are works of the Dinosaur Polo Club, a brilliant game studio. There is no relationship between us and Dinosaur Polo Club (DPC for short). We did not share any code or art assets.
We are all personally huge fans of DPC's work, and we think that is probably why this game idea came to us during a game jam last year. Also, because we're a new studio lacking experience in game development, we did use many elements from the existing Mini series when designing the UI. They are not intended to be final.
We are actually communicating directly with DPC via email these days, and here are the takeaways:
* DPC is totally OK with the gameplay. If anything, they said they are excited that games are drawing inspiration from their titles.
* DPC is aware that the title and the UI style might cause some confusion, suggesting that they created this game, which they do not want.
* DPC did not ask us to take down the game. However, they did say they would appreciate it if we could change the UI style and/or the name of the game.
* DPC is really a studio full of supportive and nice people!
We are now prioritizing a total revision of our UI style, including major elements like the main menu, map selection, and the clock in the top-right corner. Our goal is to align these elements more closely with the civilian aviation theme, thereby enhancing the game experience and mitigating significant authorship issues.

The crazy thing is how it literally looked identical to the DPC Mini * series. It is also totally in line with how DPC would make a game, and after metro and motor, that is the logical next step.
I mean, down to the zoom and rotate when a plane crashes.
If they follow through with their claim and change the name/UI, I might pick this up because it looks interesting, but I can't support it in it's current state.
I definitely thought it was the same company lol
