Help me understand progression in this game.

Sometimes floor, currency, or upgrade progress reset in some worlds when prestiging. What are augments? It sounds like a depricated feature.

Might be a bit late here but it does warn you that your progress will reset when you choose to Prestige and that you will lose floor and some upgrade progress. Augments upgrade the forges and make them work faster and produce more materials.

Locate the Achievement / Goals of the game, read them and see what you have in progress, and well, do em. I'm currently 14/18 in progress, I found most of the progression has been "Do X or Y # of times". Then close game and come back hours later.

Augments are not a depricated feature - they're upgrades to the forges. They're permanent, they never reset, and they're probably the best long term investment in the game.
