Upgrading your plants and corals can also help with the lack of planting slots. For example, if the ritual stone requires 2 Sea Anemones, you can cultivate on one space one Sea Anemone and upgrade it to level 2 and it will consider that you have therefore 2 Sea Anemones instead of one.
Did you try upgrading your plant slots and does it let you complete the ritual stone then or not? If it is still not possible to complete the ritual stone despite the upgrades, then we will work on fixing this, thank you
I can already upgrade my plants to level 3, which is quite helpful, BUT my current ritual stone asks for an angler fish, which needs a lantern fish and a grenadier, the lantern fish needs gorgonian fan and mushroom coral, the grenadier needs 2 scalyfoot snails, which need tube worm colony and chimney sponge, all of these four have the same planting spot, now I only have 3 planting spots for those plants, so it is impossible to complete.
The second ritual stone on the same level asks for a beaked whale, which needs a grenadier and a lantern fish which like explained above is already not possible. So both ritual stones are not completable.
And this is not the first time.
You can technically do these. Plant the colony and sponge, upgrade them to get your snails. Plant fan or coral on the third slot. Remove the colony or the sponge, and immediately plant the missing plant out of fan and coral. Should make the lantern fish spawn before the snails actually get extinct (since that process takes a bit of time), which would make the angler fish spawn as well.
It's definitely not the intended way to do things, and such stones probably shouldn't exist, but so far I've always been able to do them, although with weird tricks such as the one above.
Hi, unrelated info:
It happens to me sometimes due to some conditions of fish using up so many available limited build slots (prerequirement) that you can't fulfill a secondary condition on the same stone. I think it was I needed four slots (even with the 3rd tier upgrade), but in the level there were only 3 slots for this plant type.
Another time it was enough, but due to a predator eating the required species it only reached 2/3. However there was no way of getting rid of the predator because he was a sub requirement for another requirement on the same stone.
There seem to be an issue where preconditions are not 100% covered by the level generation engine.
Sorry for being so vague, I just got the game and I can't remember any specifics.
In some levels, it won't be possible to complete EVERY Ritual Stone without having to clear some plants or corals, but all Ritual Stones should be possible to complete if you've explored the whole level.
And the above fix isn't working. The snails are running off in seconds, so I can't demolish and rebuild in time
EDIT. Just to clarify I didn't have level 3 plants
