Chaos Theory Games and Firesquid have committed to supporting ocean conservation by allocating 10% of post-platform fee revenue towards supporting three in-game impact features: Ritual Stones of Preservation, Player-Specific Carbon Offsetting, and Community Challenges.

Ritual Stones of Preservation
This system empowers you to decide how conservation funds are allocated. Through a partnership with dots.eco, we are connected with a wide range of charities and conservation-focused companies all across the globe. Dots.eco provide certificates for each conservation action, ensuring transparency in fund allocation.

• Choose Your Cause: After completing a Ritual Stone of Preservation, select the conservation cause you want to support.
  
• Contribution: Upon receiving the revenue from your purchase (which can take up to 45 days), we contribute to your chosen conservation-focused organization via dots.eco.
  
• Proof-of-Impact: At the end of each impact-period, we generate proof-of-impact certificates for all conservation activities. Once this is complete you’ll receive a notification the next time you open Crab God. These certificates detail the conservation action and its global impact.

How It Works:

1.Revenue Allocation: Chaos Theory Games and Firesquid commit 10% of our post-platform fee revenue from each sale of Crab God to ocean conservation initiatives. This means a part of your purchase directly funds these initiatives. We calculate this 10% after we receive revenue reports from Steam, usually at the end of each month, accounting for taxes, refunds, and other adjustments.

2.Ritual Stones of Preservation: Through in-game activities, you unlock Ritual Stones of Preservation, which let you decide where this 10% contribution is directed. Your choices influence the allocation of funds towards various ocean conservation initiatives. The support percentages shown during this sequence reflect player choices from the past 30 days, guiding our eco reward allocation.

3.Impact Certificates. After receiving the monthly revenue report from Steam, we generate impact certificates that detail the specific impact achieved and the number of players involved (e.g., kilograms of plastic removed, coral polyps planted). In-game notifications will inform you of any certificates you’re connected to, and provide links to where the impact has occurred globally. Here’s an example certificate.


Economic Viability:

We ensure economic viability by allocating 10% of our received revenue on a monthly basis. This means that each month's funds from new player purchases contribute to the conservation pool, allowing us to sustain our business model while effectively supporting conservation without relying on specific in-game activities or monthly sales targets.

Impact Transparency: All contributions are managed through dots.eco, which provides certificates for conservation actions, ensuring transparency and giving players confidence that their efforts lead to real-world benefits.
