Items?

So in the original there were some items that gave a +10 in a stat are those still in this game and if so how does one aquire them?

There are +10 items, and +1 through +7 items.

You acquire these at markets. They appear randomly everywhere each season.

The level of the market might be directly correlated with the quality of the items, though I suspect this yet have not confirmed it based on when the upper tier items seem to appear.

I haven't seen any +10 War stat item but only +10 Politic which is useless, +10 LEAD, or INT would be great. I remember old ROTK game, Cao Cao would have his sword at +10, Lu Bu weapon would also be 10 but not in this game. Items is really disappointing here. Not really adding extra tactic or skill, which you don't really depend on them much past mid game.

The first +10 item I owned in 2 playthroughs was a +10 INT book fairly early in the game, and damn if that wasn't a godsend.

I like how the items are random and better ones seem to be rare, but there needs to be some item codex so we know what can be acquired.

The best items for War in previous games were the Sword of Light and Sword of Heaven. They were +10 or +8 in some of them. Now they are +5 in this game. Cao Cao has both in many of the 180-190 starting points. I have played through 5 times and they are still the best I have witnessed. There are +10 INT, POL and Leadership found at the markets. One of the marriage candidate tales, I believe the Lady of Charisma, gives you a +10 CHA item in her second to last tale. So you can get it even if you aren't planning to marry her.

I saw Lu Bu has the Crescent Halberd that is +8

The Seven Star Sword that Wang Yun gives Cao Cao oddly has a +7 str. I've found a few +5 weapons, Gan Jiang +5 sword with Brute Strength skill. Mo Ye +5 again brute strength. Yang's Bow also gives +5 with resolute skill. Guan Yu, Zhang Fei and Cao Cao's weapons are all +5 and Lu Bu's Crescent Halberd is +8. Sun Jian comes with +10 LEA art of war which after his death not sure if that goes to the market or his sons get it.

I believe it's been more than several entries that had SSS at +7 strength. It would have to be, to cut through all the fat, and look pretty while doing it.

For some reason many items being degraded if your compare it to San13. most of the precious weapons only give you +5 status.

the only weapon hasn't be drgraded is Lü Bu's polerarm.

Found a weapon with +10 STR. It's called Sword of Sovereignty and I found it in Xiping, not that that guarantees it will always be there.

Huh interesting. Kinda annoying how random it is. I wish the +10s were through events or something if you hit certain milestones or something you could start an event chain to get them. Much more annoying to just keep checking markets all the time and hoping for the best considering I find half the time I check the market it literally has nothing or one treasure item and that's it even maxed cities sometimes.

Market doesn't cost any action point to buy or sell, it cost you to jump from city to city to look for items though :D.
