"Special" card for debating is bugged

The special card for debating is not increasing when used like the one from dueling.

Yes, it seems that it doesn't increase the value of the cards. At least the number don't change. So only way using it just as another +1 card. But from my feeling there is difference in damage with it.

it's a feature to make it different from dueling, to make you wonder if it is truly worth throwing that card down sometimes vs trying to overpower your opponent through brute force in dueling

"Brute Force" is the perk that increases the value when using a special card. This perk is not present in debates, instead there is Orator and Rethoric which both seem to increase the damage dealt when you use a card sequence of multiple identical cards.

AFAIK special increase card played by 1, then more damage if you win that round.
But it won't increase value by itself (unless brute force).

Without brute force:
1+S can win against a 5 (more cards always trumps)
5+S would lose against a 3+3, but win against 2+2 (count the value when same # of cards)
5+S lose to 1+1+1 (less cards always lose)

It's not a bug. You just don't understand the game. Special card in debates is just to add your card stack not increase its power. The same thing applies to dueling's special card; it won't increase your power if you don't have Brute Force skill.
