8 vs 13

Why should 13 be better than 8? Graphics alone, 13 looks terrible. And backwards. But I didn't play it.

I just read a lot about that 8 is best romance part so just curious other people opinion :)

I found 8 really enjoyable. It had a lot of events and a variety of things to do kept it interesting. I wouldn't say I enjoyed it more than 9, but to me, it was the best of the officer play I've seen. From what I saw of 13, there wasn't anything that got my attention. Not even one thing. I did enjoy 14, though.

Mainly I hear people talking about 10 being better than 13, for titles newer than 8 that were competing. I didn't like 10 much either, but I played it.

Considering I still play old original 8 these days, and barely touched 13, it's pretty clear which I prefer.

13 was awful.

I hope remake8 will be better than 13, but for me 8 aged badly. Steam version also doesn't have English. So I find ROTK13 better.

I will start play 13 tomorrow watch some gameplays and looks good i never play any ROTK :D But as i saw great opinions about 8 then i know now i will buy remake :)

Don't forget that PUK expansion is definitive experience, which will allow you to play as a free officer. So consider buying expansion as well.

For what it's worth the RTK8 Remake is explicitly based on 'RTK8 with Power Up Kit'.

Wow seriously imo ROTK13 is great game, battles like mini total war, real time, relations and build prosperity in our lands, ofc that's all is not so deep buuut still imo all of that together is great compone :)

According to RTK8 Remake producer Kazuhiro Echigoya, RTK13 was deemed too recent to justify a remake... and RTK8 Remake will be the first time that 8's Power Up Kit (PUK) will be localized in English, whereas the RTK13 PUK was already released as the Fame and Strategy Expansion Pack and I understand is recommended.

This Fame and Strategy really change something ? Price imo is insane just for officers pack(description), on screens i can say it's not only officers but some other mechanics also but donno :D
