i remember being able to duel rando bandits, ect traveling on the map, or debate officers/officials, any of that here, or is duel/debate reserved for battle/named officers? i dont remember which one this was.
dueling was top down, and debate was done on a bridgelike screen,if that helps.
ROTK 8 Remake will add some of the features of ROTK 10, (like debate for example), but the gameplay loop of ROTK8 and ROTK10 is quite different.
First, there's no large map you can explore. It is city based, and you can only visit facilities in the city.
2nd, ROTK 8 gameplay is divided into phases. Counsel phase, and then Personal Activity phase (Not sure what it will be officially called, I just named it for description. I didn't play the game in English long enough to remember)
In Counsel phase, you can suggest tactics, hiring, attacking enemy, etc.
In Personal Activity phase, you can do the task that was assigned to you, meet other officers, visit other cities, etc.
So the major difference between two games is that ROTK8 goes by seasons, while ROTK 10 goes by the day, and there's no world map to explore for ROTK 8.
So the overall gameplay loop is quite different from ROTK10
