Cold Storage crashing

Tried both VR and flat mode. The very second I start heating Freddy's arm at the beginning the game just immediately crashes. Anybody else having issues with it?

Had no problems playing it on a... let's say, less than legally acquired version of the game so I'm just confused. The only difference I can think of is that was an older version so maybe one of the newer patches introduced whatever's causing the crash.

I hear flat mode runs pretty well on Steam Deck so I'll clear up some space and try there to see if it works.

EDIT: Scratch that. Didn't realize this doesn't have cloud saves until after installing it. Whoops.

EDIT 2: Decided to go ahead and try anyway while I have it installed and it does indeed work. Guess I'll just manually move my save over or something.

EDIT 3: Food Prep also crashes when trying to use the condiment gun :(

EDIT 4 (final edit?): I feel silly. Verifying the game files seems to have fixed it, at least in flat mode.
