3 vs ai , 1vs1, 1vs1vs1 ... what are the multiplayer-modes?

It says on the store page
"ranked 1-vs.-1 matchmaking and three free-for-all matches. Custom Private Lobby available to train your skills against a friend or AI."

thx. But how many players in free for all matches? So you can´t play 2 humans vs. 2 ais?

Depends I can't even play multiplayer since the servers are either down or there's something is wrong with the game authentication

You can play versus the AI by going to Multiplayer and then speaking to the "Custom Game" ant, shown here:

As far as I can tell, you're limited to just two AI opponents. Most maps are actually limited to a single AI opponent, which is kind of unfortunate. There are actually several things I wish were added or done differently, like the ability to create custom teams (you and an AI versus one or even two AIs) or even showing us a minimap of the map we're about to play (rather than a single thumbnail, which practically tells you nothing about where the nests and resources are located, etc.).

+1 on 2v2 or even 2v1. (You and a friend together against AI)
