Hi Furr Beckerson and SooShibe,

First of all, let me apologize for this situation.

This problem occurs when installing the game. Normally Steam makes you download these files automatically. For some strange reason, this does not seem to be the case.

You can either:

- Go to this official Microsoft link to download the latest version of Microsoft Visual C++ (scroll down to reach the "Latest Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable" section) => https://learn.microsoft.com/fr-fr/cpp/windows/latest-supported-vc-redist?view=msvc-170

- Or you can also completely uninstall the game and then reinstall it

The first method is a little more technical but if done well will be faster and certain to fix your problem. The second is simpler but slower and less certain.

Let me know if this did indeed help you. I've managed to help another player with this so I'm fairly confident this should help you out. But I'm keeping watch in case it doesn't.

Hi, was really pissed off trying to launch this game and was getting an error at launch. Super frustrating and confusing because the demo worked great! UE fatal error, so different from yours but you should try this step, it worked for me. I found a guide that showed a few steps after a few mins of searching. It recommended setting your resolution to the lowest available setting in windows. I tried this and it worked for me...... I tried other stuff like disabling full screen optimizations, verifying files, adding "-dx12" or "-dx11" to launch parameters, etc and nothing. I even tried to delete demo save data from %localappdata% but that did not work. Only changing desktop resolution to the lowest value in windows desktop display settings worked.

Then hopefully the game launches and you can switch from windowed or full screen or whatever. and then you can change your desktop resolution back
