Stuck at talking with ant 9615

So I'm supposed to talk to this ant, I chose every available dialogue option, and the only one left is "Thanks for your help", which I press, but nothing happens after that. The ant remains marked so I have somehow not completed this part.

At that time, you can leave the area to continue the mission.

It's not very clear, but just press the movement keys to move down or something, and you'll see your ant move out of the screen and you're back in the game world

The issue is not moving away, the marker still stays on top of ant 9615, indicating I'm not done with it yet..?

I don't remember any numbers on the ants, but a similar issue was discussed when the demo was new, and others mentioned they didn't realize they could move during that dialogue, and thought they were stuck. I think there was only one place there was this kind of dialogue, so I assume it's the same place.

Anyway, I uninstalled the demo after finishing it, but I saw there was a large update to it recently with no patch notes, so maybe things have changed.

Here is a thread that might help, with same issue. Apparantly you have to hold down the button. I'm not sure I did that, but it sounds probable

This was indeed the exact issue. It is some bug because it does not register properly and resets the entire conversation. I managed to confirm the last answer by switching from controller to keyboard, however that trick did not work anymore in another encounter.

Ah, I see. Might be related to the latest update, then. Hopefully it will be fixed, then.

I play with keyboard & mouse, btw.
