Ocon pushed my rider off the track and my rider got a 5s penalty.
I get the odd lockup or spins but at one point on a actual race day I had like 4 cars go out on the first corner. Then just as race resume from the Safety Car. The exact same bend a crash causes a red flag. It's just crazy.
But as I said the game is incredibly fun, but the crashes just feel like a little too frequent to me. I can 100% at least grantee from Practice 1 all way to the actual race day there will be few more crashes before the day is out.
You think I should put something on bug report thread does this warrant it?
Crashes do seem too frequent, you can guarantee multiple crashes in a race.
I had my driver hit from behind in the run to turn 1 and my driver got the penalty when it was definitely not his fault. Also had Ocon make a kamikazi dive up the inside of a corner, lock up, hit my driver, but my driver got the penalty!
What I think is too much is the number of big shunts and the rate of car destruction that's going on. That should - must - be toned down. Remember 2022 when Mick Schumacher had, what?, three big crashes and that was a big thing that even led to him being fired? Well, in the current version of the game three big crashes during the season is almost nothing, and Mick would be hailed as one of the most careful drivers in the pack. So, yes, this aspect must definitely be worked on, not to the point of making big car-destroying shunts a rarity but having them happen at a realistic rate (that shouldn't be hard, has anyone can gather the relevant data from the past seasons; it's just a matter of tuning the game to somewhere around that rate).
I agree with penalties but not with crashes. I think crashes are well balanced and is a thing I like because it makes the season realistic.
In some GP there's a lot of accidente but that is a thing that happens in F1 time to time.
Now, in my gameplay this happen in Azerbaidjan, which makes sense because it's a street narrow circuit.
And in Practice 1 a car crashes time to time, and this is a thing that makes realistic the grand prix weekend too.
- qualify traffic only impacting humans
- sefty car ends without everyone being in a queue (even after unlapping)
- team mate crashes everytaime (even set on "not block team mate).
- sprint week end free practice 2 useless because you can just set the front wing
- you can't access to your race strategy on red flag mode
- qualify plan not respectected when set before session (especially cool down lap between 2 hot laps)
- you can't set confidence and ers battle before the race and you have to pause immediately after start
- widescreen have interface in the middle of the screen and loading picture is just enlarged
should i continue ?????? 2022 support was ended because 2023 was supposed to bring improvements.
- this confidence part is just a prank where drivers are humiliated and constantly crying. you can't even play faster than speed 1 because you have to change setting every 3 seconds. repetitive and boring feature.
- same for tyre temperature, you put the the slowest mode, it takes 10 laps to lost 10 degreses and turn back to normal. if you to 10 laps in the slowest mode, you're very last.
- the tyre strategy makes no point when you can easily finish every single race with 1 stop, and when the hard tyres sometimes lasts 70 laps.
- the ai always guess calculate the perfect strategy, but with the little information we have, we are not robot to guess the perfect strategy for every race, even real strategist make lot of mistakes
- try to finish the haas season at 6th position like the board asked, when the car worth 10th position, and you will figure how little impact you have on theses totally randomised races where you pretending having an influence but 100% of time you get 3 overtook, confidence lost, and driving mistakes because of confidence lost.
and the most important
- how on earth your driver overtake each lap just before drs detection point, then your rival get drs and attack you right after. and doing this for 50 laps, over and over again.
this isn't about balancing or adjusting, this is actually about seriously considering to hire a dozen of COMPETENTS beta testers.
