For me, that makes the game more intense, more exciting, more attractive.
I hope this will be included in the 2024 version!
There is a little bit more challenge with the highest difficulty, but the mechanics are too simple.
Starting with Alpine for example (without save scumming and max difficulty):
Year 1: you can play 2nd/3rd place constructor.
Year 2: World champion (driver+constructor).
I found my developpement strategy while playing the 1st year of F1M 22.
And it work better now with the durability mechanic...
I'm 100% sure that I can completely dominate the competition in more or less 3 years, starting with any team !....
This game isn't made for playing on severals competition years.
You will have a challenge in each race during the 1st year by starting with a weak team.
But the car development and personnel management part is really too weak.
I will skip my turn on F1M2024 if this part is not seriously improved.
F1 is a "job" where 1/1000th of a second, 1/1000th mm counts - if I start my career with one of the worst teams, then I expect to have to work very hard to even finish an entire race regularly!
The best way I have found to resolve it, is by spending 3 seasons moving from team to team and improving the back end teams to make them able to finish in the top 10 consistently. I also use the database editor mod to alter stats across drivers and staff making more options across the board for every team. That means the majority of the good drivers are in the 85+ range, and the teams are generally within a few 10ths of one another by season 4.
Its then pretty close racing with cars nose to tail for most of the races.
