Driver assist buildings and crew fatigue doesn't go hand-in-hand.
Pit crew fatigue means either your training schedule isn't done correctly or that your Sporting Director lacks the right stats.
Whenever changing parts during weekend, the fatigue drops. Hover over the time estimate for any adjustment and you'll see that it has an effect on the crew.
There's no explanation that changing parts causes pit crew fatigue, so I'm sure many people don't realize it. This is a very harsh penalty.
I change parts as often as i am obligated to.....
it's ridiculous out of 2 weeks scheduled they are actually planned to do some work for a total of 3 afternoons and the race weekend periods which i can do nothing about.......yest another bug...which if you play as Redbull you would not even notice, but some of us don't play as red bull or even normal settings , we play on hard and this is a total joke, man i'm so relieved i never paid full whack for this bug ridden mess.
I have my sympathies to these hard working people who are too tired to work because they changed couple of tyres and they really deserve rest of the month as a free time xD
So, it's a bit tedious, but take two minuts every month to fully reschedule their training.
Gym is the most important training for speed. I keep pit stop Drills to just stabilize their mistakes, but it's less important at the beginning. Getting the pit crew as "tired" at the race is ok, like +0.5 chances of mistakes, but having them reach the race as "weary" will give you something like +16% !
ypu should also sometimes re-check their status in the middle of the month because sometimes they're losing some fatigue, I suspect it happens when we make too many pieces and engines changes.
TLDR: cumulative tab, custom schedules, avoid useless rest days, check if you reach races with less than 40% fatigue
This tells you a lot about how to minimise fatigue due to changing parts during sessions and other considerations. I wished I knew this before!
So if then the preset schedule gives them excess rest, how come they are exhausted after getting a tan all month? . you are making excuses for horrible bugs when there arn't any that's excuses not bugs. because there's plenty of bugs.p
It's not a bug, the presets are horrible and should not be used. You may use the preset to give them extra rest, but that doens't matter. They may be exhausted in a race weekend, because prior to the race weekend they did (for example) 7 days non stop gym training. Always go for custom training and set it yourself. Make sure you click comulative to see the status for each day (if you hover over it on the calender). Total gives you the information at the last day of the month.
So, each month set the schedule yourself. Gym training keeps your pit stop times low, pit stop error reduces the chance of errors occuring. I try to keep it below 10%. Car building reduces the time required to change the setup in practice sessions or replace parts mid session.
So, when setting up an schedule, just click on top the preset custom to change all days to rest days, click comulative and change the different days in the training you want to do. Personally I like to focus pit stop errors first untill they are below 10% (fast pit stop times are useless if you have alot of errors), after that I focus Gym training. At the end of the month I try to make sure that pit stop errors, pit stop time and car building stay at the very least the same or improve.
For race weekends, make sure your pit crew is not in the weary or exhausted zone. Tired is fine. It does not matter how much % they are in the tired zone. If you see them weary or exhaused on race day give them a day or 2 rest before the race weekend.
Also make sure you give your pit crew a few days rest if they become tired from the training. If you keep training while your pit crew if tired or worse, then the training is less effective. So what I do is when the pit crew is getting tired. I let them rest up to as close as 0% as possible and start training again. Each full rest day gives your crew 9% fatigue back. So if your pit crew is 17% fatigue on monday, tuesday they will be 8% fatigue. I tend to resume training on tuesday in this case, since if you let them rest on tuesday you lose 1% of fatigue since you cannot go to -1% on wednesday ofcourse :P
It takes some time to setup, but you get far better results this way and pit stop errors occur far less often on race days. Also, a general tip, for your staff, if you click your sporting director, make sure you put his/her development on the one that has appitude. This will alow your pit crew to have a higher skill cap. If you want fast pit stops this is very important. If this stat is low for your sporting director consider scouting for a replacement. You will not get fast pit stop times if this stat is low.
