UI bugs mid-race

As it stands, I can't play this anymore.

The bugs with switching between Live race and 'strategy' menus during a race causing the UI to lock up and be unable to interact with it is unreal. Now as of today I'm getting a similar issue when a "optimal pit lap" notification appears. I can't click on anything on screen- can't select to pit, can't change menus, can't do anything forcing me to force close the game mid-race.

The game is disappointing to me overall compared to what I expected to be improved on this year, but last year I never crashed mid-race or had issues like this. This is actually infuriating.

Nor at all. Biggest improvement for me is that there are rare crashes in practice sessions. And other improvements.

Before last patch this was happening to me like one in four races. Right now I’m lucky if I get through one. Even though I’m disappointed overall, I still enjoy the game. But right now I can’t even play the damn thing.

Got something like that as well. Pressed the Data view button and the UI froze, I couldn't see anything and couldn't interact with anything. Had to quit the race. Nice.
(Fun fact, I just started that save game today, because my old game crashes when I finnish Q3 of the first race in the new season...)

It's a shame, I like the game, but this morning my whole career was ruined by some bug, just as it got interesting, and now the new one starts like that, and who's to say if it will just start to crash first race next season?

Good game, but I think my hopes are back on Open wheel manager 2 or even a revisit of ye olde motorsport manager :/

Yep UI bugs mid race is killing me here. It is very random, and no i can't replicate it, and yes i do have the latest video drivers, and yes i have lodged a ticket. Let me know when this crap is fixed. Game goes back on the shelf for now.

Same here! Game has been put on the shelf until they fix the research bug. Got my save paused just before Monza and before the next ATR period, which I plan to use critically for my first research.

They can't replicate the tyre bug on command, so it'll be a long wait before the next patch. So, if any of you guys have got the tyre bug, send them your save file so you can help them find it quicker and send out the next bloody patch.

happens very randomly to me too, quite rare but I can't find a way to fix it. I read somewhere that switching off V-sync helps. Switch to DX12 as well. Happens much more frequently in rainy races. No answer from frontier about this crap.
