2 tire compound update???

Hello I am waiting to buy this year’s game after not getting last year’s. The reviews of last year went bad so so fast after release that I am concerned about this year.

I have seen on several streams and comments that the ai is using only one compound per race and not get penalized. Using two different tire compounds is such a fundamental part of F1 strategy that it’s scary that this is a bug and that it has not been fixed yet.

Is this still a problem or has it been patched or does anyone know when that patch will hit.

Its a bug but I haven't had it yet. I'm sure it will be fixed

I've played 111 hrs without getting that bug. I think its related to mid-session saves, which I don't do anyway.

I'm in exactly the same boat as you, totally waiting to buy this game.
But first they need to fix some bugs before its fully enjoyable.
Having an officially licensed game that does not accurately reflect the current rules of F1 is unacceptable, and the fact this bug was in last years game too is just sloppy testing.
It did get patched out pretty fast last year however, so i'm optimistic i wont have to wait too much longer to purchase :)

I had an issue where race started dry, rained, and near end of race went dry and the AI were able to use same tyre they started on, yet I was forced to use another dry compound..

If you would have looked at their latest post (last Friday) you'd know that they're working on fixing it among other bugs reported.
Hopefully most of these bugs are fixed before the weekend.
