Most challenging team?
Hi everyone - loving the new game, especially the fact that there are more random variables (e.g. notifications of specific issues with facilities, rather than "it's deteriorated and people have been complaining" xD).
I would be interested to know which team you are finding the toughest challenge? I picked Haas this time, and have been VERY surprised at how much harsher my board is compared to my first go with Alfa Romeo in last year's game.
I guess there are several reasons - No household name driver REALLY (no Bottas), and VERY slow in a straight line even compared to the AlphaTauris at the start.
As a challenge I recommend it, but since I am on low confidence already I might get fired (despite having achieved an 8th/9th in one race and another 9th in the last one) xD

With low confidence you will get sacked after Spa unless you improve it. Just happened to me at Mercedes!

For me it's haas. Some ♥♥♥♥ always goes wrong but playing as manager called Gunther Steiner makes you go into ultimate survivor mode

I went merc first off but played the game way to much like 22 and got sacked even though i was 3rd and catching ferrari. So started a new career with Williams managed to get 14 points in first season. Just in 2nd season now and managed to get my first win on merit at baku!

It’s already been stated but idk that there is a harder start than haas

And with increased component wear/tear and now part wear/tear it pretty much forces you to shut down development after 4-5 races the first couple of seasons

Especially if you are trying to upgrade staff, infrastructure and drivers at the same time

Their budget is incredibly realistic for what has repeatedly been reported about haas the last 3 years

Start off pretty strong with a competitive car but then have to shut down development just to survive and have a competitive car the next season

and that nothing try to play Alfa Romeo that gets crazy worst car in the group hands down on 75% of the stats and expect you to make point so with a car 19/20 they expect you to get in the first 10

Wow OK that's fairly brutal. But yeah also brave to have first save as Mercedes, I suppose the goal is 2nd in Championship? Not really feasible is it xD
Pretty sure even with Aston Martin they would be more reasonable, though that is also tricky cos the car starts as maybe the 2nd best. Haas perhaps is a good balance, I was worried about the sack had the low confidence but was gradually upgrading everything I could (especially parts) when I had enough cash and I restored the confidence, doing alright now

Haha yeah. First season is guaranteed to be hard but the DRAMA! It's worth it, there's very good moments and there's very bad ones xD

Yeah knowing how bad the REAL Alfa Romeo is this season I knew that would be a wrong choice. But at least they have the cash available maybe for the future.
I am actually pleased this time that they made especially the engine purchases more realistic, in F1 Manager 22 I abused the system by buying at least 3 new ones and slinging them in in a practice session JUST so that I would have them for later in season WITHOUT a penalty when I used them in race. Not a strat that works any more unless at a rich team
