When using the scanner, a random bunker will be selected and an icon will be
displayed in the top right corner of the screen showing the signal strength.
The strength of the signal will change depending on the direction you are
currently facing: look around to find the angle that gives you the strongest
signal and this will be the direction where you should dig to find the
targeted shelter.
A new random bunker will be selected every time you use the scanner
(using left-click while holding the scanner).
Several other players also told me that they found the scanning mechanic a bit
confusing: I will try to find a way to make it more obvious or add more in-game
explanation in a future update.
Thank you!
EDIT: in case anyone is as dumb as me, scrollwheel.
Now I see there's a little icon at the top right of the screen that changes as I move but it doesn't direct me anywhere sensible. I spent all my money digging in a big loop and found nothing.
This game looks interesting but it's a little too unclear for me.
So you follow the strongest signal (3 bars) and go towards it until you hit 2 to 1 meters and you see nothing? It's possible you are digging below or above the bunkers.
If you need help with this, explain more, I can try guiding you with finding bunkers.
ok, FIRST:
if you press the scanner, the top right corner shows you the scanners target address, it might show you some you already know. so you might scan multiple times to get new ones.
(that is pretty much the point where I take pen and paper and write down wich ones I already know and have connected)
SECOND: if you find no new adresses then you are too far away from other new sources, go dig a few tunnels in some directions and scan again.
THIRD: the W lan like signal next to the Adress shows you how well you face to the source of that adresses signal. all bars full means you face it directly. Don't forget this could be below or above you so you need to look for it also by looking up and down to get the signal to full strength.
