Can you really only delete a Gear if its the last one in the system?
Or is there a way to delete gears out of order?

If not, that's a HUGE design flaw that essentially makes have to delete entire section if one part doesn't work, instead of just moving parts around at your whim.

As far as I've been able to tell, that is the case at the moment. Unless there are perks down the ascension lines.

Hi, yes you can only delete gears that don't have gears connected to them.

The idea is that at all time gears need to be connected to the golden gear which is the one powering the network.

Nothing like that is on the ascensions line, the only thing that can have "similar" effects, in terms of having two separate chains of gears is the last gear, which I won't spoil it to you with details.

why? isnt this awful for qol? if i wanna replace a single gear i really gotta dismantle my whole layout?

You get gears a little later that can be placed anywhere, kinda like separate golden gears. You can have multiple gear networks.

Yeah I don't mind having to rebuild the whole layout from the ground up, but indivually deleting each gear by holding RC is pain, could you add button that clears everything from the board?

I may add a tool, to remove all gears that are dependant to the one you select.

That would be really helpful.

The issue is, if you have large machines, if one part fails, you have to individually delete every gear after it, which can be tedious and annoying.
Having parts disconnected from the golden gear not work is fine. But having to backtrack every time you want to change something is REALLY annoying.

Hell, even a "Drag to erase gears" would be better than the current set up.
