On a positive note, I see the hard work that some of the creators HAVE done to make this game. Maybe released a tad early, but still pretty flippin' impressive. I love the taunts and collaborative gestures. If you don't know what I mean, I hope you get to see them soon.
Also, if anyone else is annoyed that the TMNT game cancels the Steam voice chat when you join a game, you can go into the "DamageGame/Config/DamageEngine.ini" file and change the "bHasVoiceEnabled" (under "VoIP" section) from true to "false". I'm not very fond of the built in voice chat system, myself. Cuts out some or all of what people are saying. Frustrating.
I'm VERY interested to get this resolved for private play.
Am I to believe that for some people NEITHER is working? I've forwarded all my ports using DMZ mode on my router and I can host a custom game (And have a friend join), however everyone else and their mom soon follow. Just fyi.
So far it seems to be a bad console port. I'm hoping they patch these issues.
On the plus side, if this were a blizzard game, we'd probably get "working as intended."
So one might have to resort to making some file modifications in order to force the IP. It may be possible to use launch parameters with the TMNT executable, I haven't yet tried to see if there is a .cfg, .ini or other type file that might contain them, or relatable settings to alter.
So without making the efforts I've listed, LAN is pretty much moot if you're just hoping to join a friend behind your network by joining through Steam.

How much coverage does this issue need before the developers/publishers address those who bought it?
So is there an in-game LAN option or not? Can you please screenshot it? assuming I've disconnected my modem from my router, and we're all on a gigabit switch in offline mode on steam, will we see each other through lan?

Also this vid does show how to force a LAN IP in the executable, like I was wondering earlier.
which you can use, Space Herb, to play with your wife.
That was likely the reason you couldn't connect to eachother before, as I was saying, that it was only seeing your gateway IP for steam. The guy that said he disabled his gateway and used only his LAN, what would be happening then, since steam is in offline mode, is it will dummy itself a self assigned IP. Usually starting with 169.254.x.x. This behaviour goes back to nullmodem days where you would just crossover two computers and the OS would self assign an out of index IP so it would simulate a LAN.
Anyway. Herb. Use the method in the video, minus the Hamachi part, where he puts his LAN IP into the shortcut to force launch parameters of the IP. That should have you enjoying the game with your significant other in no time flat.
I'll test it myself right now.
Put the IP of the computer you INTEND to connect to in the target box. The person you are connecting to does not need to do this.
I can confirm that this works both on Hamachi and a normal LAN.
