How to Recruit?

I'm probably missing something really obvious but when I started playing I didn't get a tutorial (I've bought the game, so this isn't the demo). How do I recruit monsters? Or is this something that's unlocked later? I've defeated the Kindergarten Boss.

Apparently it's the taunt option from the actions button. Once the pink meter fills to 100% from taunting it catches the monster.

Yes and it seems like normally hurting it before taunting seems to help.

Taunt also spreads to every enemy on the field so killing the ones you don't want to catch will make it go faster.

Can you unlock using more monsters yet? I got to a point where I can fight two

I will be honest at first I didn't knew what I was supposed to think, if this is gettnig a lively world and story, i can see this being good.
I'm already playing this to relax a bit right now.

You can unlock more monsters. I think the limit is 3 in the demo and 4 in the full game.
This is subject to change in future versions tho.

I want to add story to the game but I kinda like playing a RPG without all the dialogue. When i add NPCs they will say like 3 lines and then leave, I think.

Well it has it's own charm currently I suppose, I can also try and get used to it for once, the entry point is cheap enough.

Uhhmm I could have said it better I guess, but can you use three at the same time? That is what I understood here. For now I still had 1/1 but barely left the first door.
I still try to get what looked like a shiny, I just like evovling them right now.
edit: okay I figured it out and I think I like it his way.
