ACE anti cheat for mobile games cause malfunctions on Windows PC, Linux and Steam Deck.

Hello,

I was intrigued to know what ACE (Anti Cheat Expert) is so I went to do some research on the internet, and I found the website of the anti cheat, from what I see it is above all an anti cheat adapted for mobile games that is why most antiviruses on PC are going crazy.

I also see that this anti-cheat has a Prevention Against Virtual Machine so I understand now why I can’t play The Front because I’m not on a physical PC (I have a subscription on a PC in the Cloud = PCAnywhere like Shadow PC or commonly called virtual machine, that I use everyday for work and gaming)

In short, this anti cheat is not suitable for PC games but rather for games developed on mobile, it is ineffective because it still allows hackers and cheaters to ruin servers, so with or without this anti cheat it makes no difference, personally I would like them to remove this anti cheat that I can buy and play the game, I have a lot of games of this kind in my game library (7 Days to Die, Conan Exiles, Rust, Valheim etc...) for most they also have an anti-cheat (EAC, BattlEye...) but I’ve never had compatibility issues or virus detection issues.

Please developers, if you could reconsider using this anti cheat for mobile for another anti cheat suitable for PC or for no anti cheat at all instead of being stubborn to use something that doesn't work, it would solve instantly a lot of technical problems for many players who have hardware problems on Windows PC but also Linux, like mouse and keyboards that are no longer detected every 15 minutes because of ACE.

Seriously they should remove this anti cheat that is not meant for Linux environment and all the Linux and Steam Deck malfunctions will vanish instantly and everyone will be happy.

I don't know if you agree with me or not but do not hesitate to react on this thread to report the problem to the developers, meanwhile I’ll report it to Steam.

Kaspersky antivirus after game crash just delete .exe fail from game folder and say that
thefront.exe have PDM:Trojan.Win32.Generic.nblk
I think this just a bug, but now i see connection to the anticheat.
Better delete this Antichit. anyway after one day tons of cheater on all official server..

It also means the game isn't playable on Linux or Steam Deck. It won't even launch. They need to remove this asap.

0 Flags from Windows Defender Anti Virus since launch so I don't have much cause for concern. I'm more concerned with people using bloatware AV in 2023. I have to assume if the game sees some success, they'll update and improve on things like server capacity, anti cheat, and QoL. Their main goal in early access is probably to flesh out the rest of the core systems before devoting too much resources to things like anti cheat. Wipe cycle's, EA, if they wanna cheat now, better to let the devs learn to better prevent it as it gets closer to full release.

I can confirm that ACE anticheat crashes when launching this game on the Steam Deck.
