Where can i found "Wheat"?

Where is this "wheat out in the world" and exactly how do you "harvest it". I have found crops at farm POIs but see no prompt to harvest.

Cut it with a sickle equipped. Its long and yellow, and sometimes you get seeds.
Once grown in a crop plot, with proper water, light, temp and fertilier. Using a good steel sickle it will yield 1k to 2.5k per large crop plot (36) plants. And more seeds then you'll ever need.

With what settings?, only get 1 Wheat/ plant and occasionally 2 seeds and need the wheat for alcohol, using the middle sized plot and best fertiliser and a 138% Sickle but only get 1/1 so any tips would be appreciated 🙂

At least for getting seeds, you should get more if you cut it with a sickle when it's in its breeding stage (between planting and mature). That's what the in-game guide says. I've got my own settings turned up some so I get 3 seeds per breeding plant right now, not sure how many you'd get by default.
