Inventory Conversion Bug/Duplication Glitch--MAJOR Game-Breaking Issue

There's an issue since the most recent patch that converts items into other items. It can also be exploited to duplicate items. The way I've been able to repeat it is to drop an item from my inventory onto the ground, then interact with a bench or a storage box or something, and attempt to move an item from there into my inventory. Regardless of the item or it's quantity, that stack transforms into a duplicate of the exact item I dropped on the ground. You can also just drop a stack of anything on the ground, and an item you wish to be duplicated (say, 1 plant mucus), then, while they're both still on the ground, drag an the it over onto the other stack, and boom, it becomes a stack of the item you wish to duplicate. Anyone else getting this/able to repeat it?
