The Front
FYI, ACE anticheat (kernel level) is being used in this game
Going from reports from other games that use it, it does not get removed automatically after uninstall either. I was interested in the game until seeing this, so hard pass from me unless the devs miraculously decide to remove it from their game.

Easy Anti-Cheat + BattleEye = Fortnite, Rust, WarThunder, Rainbow Six Siege, Escape from Tarkow, PUBG, Valorant, Leage of Legends --> they all have kernel level access.
I wont defend this sh*t but i want understand, why NOBODY cares about it in this games (played by millions of people worldwide every day) but in "the front" everyone is crying...

Maybe because I do not play ANY of those games? Also this is about ACE (Tencent), not EAC.
this is about kernel level access... and that means ace, eac, battleeye -.-
It's ALSO about the CCP.
Bottom line: Tencent is owned by the CPP. They do nothing unless the CPP allows it, now people who've installed this are allowing the CPP into their systems.

Devs said they'll remove it but have not because no one is making them and just said it to try and get their spyware into as many computers as possible. They'll leave it in there till the US OR EU cracks down but because it cannot be uninstalled by removing the game though steam, the damage is already done and they have their foot in the door to MANY systems across the world.

Lot of CPP simps in here and fake steam accounts at 0 with no games LOL.

You have anything to back that statement up? "it cannot be uninstalled by removing the game though steam"

IF that is true it need to be explained how to uninstall it.

I just uninstalled and went through quite a bunch of extra steps to make sure it was gone. Can confirm 100%.

You only _think_ you did. The NSA really hacked into your eyes, through a nanite drone, and edited what were seeing. The entire procedure of "removing" it didn't really happen. This is exactly what the atlantean squid people WANT you to think. It's all part of their plan.

There's a link to a .bat script on the first page of this topic that can delete ACE from your system. It's pretty basic, you can check what it does step by step.

Manually, it's easy enough to check if ACE is indeed still there after uninstalling the game - enable viewing of hidden files and folders and, assuming your OS in installed on drive C, go to C:\Windows\System32\drivers\ and look for ACE-BASE.sys or ACE-GAME.sys files. If any of these are present, at least *some* parts of ACE anti-cheat have been left lying around in your system.

That said, these days everyone and their dog uses kernel-level access for anti-cheat functionality.

Electronic Arts uses one (EAAC).
Most Korean games use one (nProtect GameGuard)
A huge number of games use either EAC or BattleEye
There's also PunkBuster, XIGNCODE3, you name it. Pretty much every single game with online functionality uses it, so if you're paranoid - stick to Linux-based gaming, otherwise you *are* going to get one of these sitting in your system and hoping it does what it says on the packaging, i.e. "activates only when the game is running to do its job".

Off the top of my head, only Bliizard has been vocal about NOT using a kernel-level anti cheat system - good for them, too bad they're making sh1te games nowadays.

Hi this website looks sus, is there an easier way to delete ACE? I uninstalled The Front and searched for ACE-Base.sys in C:\Windows\System32\drivers\ and deleted it. Do I need to do anything else?

Just search your pc for anticheat, ace and do a registry search. But you gotta know what you're doing.
Jesus the amount of people who know nothing about what they are talking about still surprises me to this day. I'd wager that 95% of the people on here complaining about this anti cheat having kernel level access HAVE an anti cheat on their system from another game that already does have that access. Then everyone keeps moving the goal posts to keep finding reasons to be mad... its security risks, then it's cause it's the CCP, then it's this software is part of a global effort to steal all the gamer Chad's data so China can make the world's best gaming chair which has a rectal probe that will activate everytime you sit down and control your actions through your rectum to force you to download tiktok and temu.

What's it gonna be next?

Probably because they really don't know what they are talking about, just blowing smoke out their backside.

Not sus at all, if you actually read it. :emofdr: All it does is this:(For anyone wanting to remove ACE, save below code as batch file(.bat), needs a restart before running it from what I read in the article linked above.)
