FYI, ACE anticheat (kernel level) is being used in this game

Going from reports from other games that use it, it does not get removed automatically after uninstall either. I was interested in the game until seeing this, so hard pass from me unless the devs miraculously decide to remove it from their game.

Do you really think that your gaming PC has potential valuable info that CCP needs to "spy it out" through game anti-cheat software? What is your field of work? Government? Military? High-end tech? Unlikely.

Rather than being "concerned" about Chinese game anti-cheat, you'd better watch out for your local government spying on you. CCP and the Chinese government are very far from you and unlikely to do anything harm personally, but Apple, Microsoft, Google and your local police force are right in your neighbourhood. You know the drill.

You really haven't thought this through have you? It doesn't matter if the average person isn't going to have valuable info for them to mine. There are still going to be LOTS of people that have potentially valuable info whether it be of a governmental or industrial nature. Getting access to the entire contents of a PC is a gold mine for any unscrupulous organization (which the Chinese government certainly is). There's absolutely zero reason for this nonsense, especially when the anti-cheat system apparently doesn't work based on the posts in this forum talking about cheaters ruining the game. There's also zero reason why you should have to have anti-cheat measures installed when playing single player.

I don't want to get strikes against my Steam account. Hence I will remove the post I made. Maybe you had time to read it, maybe you didn't. But I know Steam doesn't like its forums used for politics.
Anyways my post was about other big players who spy everyone, and about cyber war.

Rust does not use ACE. War thunder i dont play for almost 4 years now, probably more, so i've been through at least 2 complete system changes and a minimun of 3 disk reformats...

No Rust uses EAC, which also has kernel-level access. And Guess what, Tencent invested in Epic too. They have several hundred studios in their portfolio now, so you may as well stop playing games entirely if you need a foil hat to do so.

Yeah this broke my want of this game, and thanks to those who said warthunder and whatnot, thanks gonna remove those as well and see what I can do to purge the anti cheat systems that come with it.
