Black Screen when loading, hangs after splash screen

Hey all,
I know other people have suffered the "black screen" upon loading the game and i was wondering if anyone has heard of any fixes?

The game basically loads and i get the unreal splash screen then the nivida/geforce overlay message, then just hangs, still have full control of the pc, but the game just stays on the black screen.
The games works fine on this PC, but my sons PC the above happens.

I've tried the usual, reinstall, starting game with admin rights, starting steam with admin rights and a few other from the net i found.

Any help would be appreciated. Me and my son have been looking forward to playing together on a PVE map.

Hello DEVELOPERS, why ignore this topic?
It's been weeks since that patch broke people's games.

Do you plan to fix it or are you telling steam to AUTHORIZE refunds.

I can change my Review to a negative if you like.

i put a ticket in about it 6 hours ago and still havent had a response yet im getting to the point in just gonna refund been trying it for 3 days

It is the weekend, so not likely to get a response as there probably is no one in the office to see your ticket. I wouldn't be surprised if they have a long list of tickets ahead of yours they are working through.

Been 2 weeks without a response. It's not a weekend thing. It's a developer ignoring the issue.

Maybe if we harass steam support non stop they'll force them to support their game or refund it.

Working for me now, after trying this:
Try:

Right click the game in your library, then select the "properties" tab.
It'll open another menu.
you'll find a box labelled "launch options".
Type -ngxdisable into that box, close the menu, and try launching the game again.

-windowed or -sw - Forces the game to start in windowed mode.

I did get a reply from a Dev linking a .rar file to replace in my game directory and was asked to send a copy of the loggs to him, but need to after trying above.

does it start fast for you? as ive done all that the dev in the ticket has done and whats here and it still wont boot had it once where it booted then black screened and did nothing now wont get to there again but it took ages for it to get there
