The Front

The Front

Asking the community some questions...
First I want to say thank you for any info you can offer, it is much appreciated!

1. Can you host your own game on your PC and have a friend (in my case, wife!)

2. Are there console commands or ways to customize the gameplay much like any other kind of survival type game? (IE: Ark, Conan, etc)

3. The wife and I have been playing more somewhat realistic farming sim games but Im having a hard time trying to find anything like Ranch Sim...I understand this isnt a farming sim, but can you sort of customize the game to a degree that you can get a somewhat same result? She enjoys realistic graphics (she can compromise if the characters arent chibis, 2d sprites, etc. must be 3D models), breeding animals, farming/gardening, crafting, cooking and I enjoy the building aspect of these types of games. Does The Front have a majority of these types of mechanics?

4. What are the pros and cons of The Front? What makes it different than other survival games out there?

5. If The Front isnt something we can achieve farm sim type status, do you have any recommendations? We love Ranch Sim and I havent really tried Farming Simulator 22 cause I was told it focuses more on crop yields and lacks any interaction with cooking recipes, crafting your own buildings, decor, clothing, etc...I wish it did cause it looks pretty good, but we want hands on with all types of mechanics that are found in Ranch Sim...if you know of any other games a lot like it, please let me know. We are also looking into games like Barn Hunters, Storage Hustle once they get multiplayer. We are looking for 1st/3rd person view only, more realistic type of vibe but we can compromise if the game is good. Must have a lot of what Ranch Sim offers and more...

Thank you for taking the time to read and comment, it is much appreciated!

1. Yes

2. Also yes, though there are some limitations that may or may not be addressed later. Game has only been in EA a month, still has a lot of development ahead.

3. You can farm. The crops growth is affected by a variety of things like temp, sunlight, and water. Cooking and crafting is in the game, but some of the recipes are a bit odd. Animals are only hostile, so no breeding.

4. Pro - It's fun, and has some nice mechanics you don't see in other games. Even in pure PvE it has been rather enjoyable.
Con - VERY early access. If you want a finished game, go find something else. Expect that there will be bugs.

5. Sorry, I don't play farming simulators, so I don't have any suggestions here.

I much appreciate your time and thoughts! We may take this one for a spin. We are used to EA, most of our games are in EA and we know what that means. We arent skeered of bugs, glitches as long as they get fixed eventually. As long as we are having fun we can roll with the punches... thank you again!
