Oil Farming

Hey All,
Loving the game so far. I am lvl 49, almost 50 and at the moment my group's biggest need is oil since a lot of stuff at the tier we are at now.

We just upgraded our oil pumps to the large so not quite sure if they will end up meeting our needs or not, but I was curious about farming it. I have been going to the dessert and farming it with a rare steel shovel and digging the random spots all over the dessert and the three "mines".

What I was curious is besides getting a better steel shovel, is there another tool, vechile etc that is used to farm this; or is the steel shovel the best it is going to get.

Oil and salt (for gunpower), we are always low on them.

Have not found a better way for oil besides never logging off (just afk on the manual miner for oil, as you do not use food if not moving)
