Currently playing host with my friend, just 2 players and with resources spawn we feel like we could just stay in one place and live forever.
Then once you have explored the entire map and cleared everything out, you have nothing to replace what is lost in a raid. Guess what, let's turn respawn on. May as well leave as it it is. Explore the map regardless if you need resources or not, you don't need to pick everything up, can just drop it to the ground and let it despawn.
Maybe if you increased each resource node material drop rate by a factor of 100x it could be possible?
I could go explore without looting but that takes one motivation away makes exploration less meaningful and makes me less wanted to do so
If respawn cannot be turned off, then how do I make resources respawn slower?
the options menu for your "hosted" game.
You can also do this for any server you decide to make
but it is a bit more complicated.
I have never tried to turn anything off but you can adjust
nearly every aspect of the game with + or - Values,
In short, you can turn them right down if you want.
in your base area, i agree. Perhaps on the beacon we
could have the option to turn them on and off for the repair
or territory zones.
I'm thinking a mod later perhaps.
