SGuard Update

Right when the main menu boots, I get a user account control prompt for SGuardUpdate in which I confrim that I want the app to make changes to my device and then the game shuts itself off. A new window - "ACE Center" opens stating "Error occurs on ACE components. Game will exit soon. (1-0-0)"

I validated game files and have never come across something like this before. Any suggestions of similar experiences?

I'm having the same exact issue i get same error then game shuts itself off, sucks can't even play the game

Yeah definitely a buzz kill. Hopefully someone knows a workaround so we don't have to wait for a patch. At least the price point is low enough to offset the disappointment lol

Антивирус COMODO блокировал действия анти чита. Поэтому выкидывало. Попробуй посмотреть настройки антивируса своего. Мне помогло и теперь я могу играть.

your virus protection is likely blocking it

You can go win+r--->Services.msc---->stop (not disable) ace guard service. u should do it every time when u run game. if u just stop process from task manager or full disable/delete your game gonna crash. so far this is 50/50 working but its something to try

i figured out the problem, for some reason the anti cheat is set to disabled, you need to switch it to Manuel

have you guys even made some homeworks before just allowing a game to modify your system on a kernel level?
The UAC Popup asks you to allow changes at your system by SGuardUpdate64.exe.
From High Morale Developments Limited. Which is a sus name tbh...
HIGH MORALE DEVELOPMENTS LIMITED is located in Hong Kong. Which is a Subsidiary company of Tencent.
A web search will also lead to webpages claiming things like:
"Sguard is yet another high-risk ransomware infection discovered by Michael Gillespie. Sguard is designed to stealthily infiltrate computers and encrypt data so that developers can make ransom demands by offering paid recovery of files."

So idk if it is save or not, if my UAC asking for changes on my system for this or not...

Ah that is not the same.
Some Crypto/Ransomware using same names as some companies used.
There is a difference between sguard/ransomware and the software SGUARD (ACE / Anti-Cheat Expert). So yeah ACE/SGUARD is something like EAC or BattleEye.
The reputation of ACE/SGUARD is a different one but this is another topic.

For the ransonware sguard you are right, but that is not the case here.

The ACE center runs the anti-cheat spyware portion of the game. If it won't run it may be that your computer's anti-virus quarantined one or more parts as a virus (it uses the same tactics as a trojan to install itself to track everything on your computer). Check the quarantine and you can mark these as OK.
