Blast Furnace same speed as Stone Furnace?

I understand that the better Furnace give better receipes.. but a blast furnace should also be way faster then a stone furnace..

It's meant to be used differently than the stone furnace. Because it doesn't consume wood, you can leave it smelting while offline and not worry about it shutting off. If you want to smelt stuff quickly, you can still use wood in the other furnace types.

want it faster? just build another blast furnace and cook at twice the speed. Still not fast enough for you? build three etc. It's main appeal is a massive inventory size upgrade and it runs on electricity rather then wood. It's not a microwave.. no where on the box did it say it made anything faster.

In other survival games I have played, as you progress to better technology which crafts the same things as lower versions, the time to craft is reduced. The OP is in the right in terms of crafting speed.

Blast furnace has its use. Does not require wood to burn. Can do titanium. and can turn stone into rare ore like titanium and tungsten, has allot more slots.

I still kept my advanced furnaces. And do my copper/Iron/Steel/Silicon/Lead in them. cost no power and as a byproduct you get ash that you need. But I also have blast furnaces for stuff like Titanium, reducing stone, making mass ash.

I would not know about advance furnaces or blast furnaces because I am not allowed to advance in this game. Every start I have made I lose camps, all items, etc. to the raids. Are they game raids or griefers, who knows? PVP server looks like a bunch of hollowed out buildings now, a lot of people have been hit, it takes all the fun out of the game. A quick run around the world and did not see one player. I think they are all hiding.
