You cannot build there

I cleared all around. Placed my orb and built my base around it. Then when I try to place walls in a corner it says I cannot build anything there. Nothing under it or over it. Nobody has built near me. It just says that so now I have to adjust my base to accommodate. When you cant move stuff, only destroy and rebuild, it is frustrating. Is this a known bug?

I don't think it's a bug at all I've had a similar issue. It means you're building too close to a spawn location. I built my base next to a Boar's Nest and it's not letting me place one wall. So I had to improvise my base design.

Yes, there are many different places whit build restrictions. Many of them aren´t obvios, like the little animal areas, small river bridges or anything else. NPC places have big restriction.

Make a sleeping bag and run around with it out. Red areas will be blocked. The map is huge and they just did that to prevent resources from being taken away

I did the same exact thing on my single player mode I use for testing. Built a massive base and couldnt put a wall on it bc it was barely being blocked. Tore it down and moved it 20 foot and rebuilt it lol. single player server was set to 10x so it was east

Thats big brain. Thanks. It doesnt make sense I can place a foundation, but cant place walls. that sounds silly to me.
