In order to access the trading card feature you must first have redeemed a trading card Bata invite. I’m not sure if valve are still handing them out but you should join the steam trading card group in case they do so. The link to the group is the following:

To earn badges you simply have to just play the game for a set amount of time and you will randomly get cards added into your inventory every 20 or so minuets. With cube men 2 the most you can get without any booster packs is 5 cards and then after that you have to trade for the other 5 in the set. You are likely however to end up with doubles (ik as I had 2 doubles: P) so you will likely have to trade them away as well. Every game has different cards to collect as well as a different amount with some games only having 5 while others have as much as 12. Cube men 2 kind of sits on the higher end of the scale with 10 cards. The subject of this games cards is simply the all the non-mob units in the game.
