Since PC version may be weak on life online now du to age, it would be nice with some Steam free keys for Wii U version buyers to try and increase online community.
When you buy the bundle, you can play it on Android, PC, MAC and Linux.
This will increase number of online players on Wii U, but also give community a even bigger boost.
Wii U community is very good in this game, but weak on other systems besides IOS.
It's definitely nice to see Nintendo allows this as well as if they decided to go trough Wii U only multiplayer there would be much less players there.
Many years ago,PS3 had a different game with cross-platform. I think it was in year 2007.
Unreal Tournament 3.
Sony refused cross-platform support in Pure Chess last year btw. The devs asked Sony, but they denied it. Nintendo allowed it on both Wii U and 3DS.
Shadowrun is maybe the only Xbox 360 game with cross-play with PC. Also from 2007 or so.
Anyway.. As for Cubemen 2, Wii U users have made almost 1000 levels already on the touch Gamepad.

Scroll down and check 32 latest levels. Shows the map skills on IOS users vs Wii U users. ;)
