Completely Unplayable

I've been trying to play this game all day. Everytime I start it, thegame menu goes crazy, going up and down as fast as possible. I'm using an Xbox 360 controller and don't have any problems in any other games. I unplugged the controller and the game's menu still went crazy going up and down as fast as possible. I can't even select a single option. Anybody else having this problem? If so, how did you fix it?

never had this issue before...i'm using an xbox controller too(technically a logitech f310) & i got no problems with it...just wondering, are using any controller emulation software like x360ce? my suggestion is to turn them off when you are playing the game...hope that helps...

Ciggavelli. I too had this issue, which felt like insult after injury having waited this long for a CD key, anyway I have found a way to resolve it, at least enough to get the menus to work.
Right click on the game in the Steam then select properties > Local Files > Browse Local Files. This opens windows explorer in the Ace Combat Assault Horizon directory, there is a file called default_input.ini. Rename this to old_default_input.ini then relaunch the game, the menus should now work.

doesn't work for me, i now can't even press the spacebar to get to the main menu because no key is recognized by the game with this fix

I had this issue with my joystick because it does not support the game, but here is how i fixed it: when your launching the game do disconnect your controller and select the mission and when your in game reconnect the controller. that fixed it for me.

it's not a good ideat to disconnect my keyboard...

€: seems like i found the controller: my racing wheel which didn't have any power and didn't work in the games without power but it still was recognized by the PC. thx for the tipp :)
