How do i select dlc aircraft for missions?
I want to play using th CFA - Nosferatu as its my favorite plane but i cant seem to select it during missions, be it multiplayer or otherwise. I can see it in the view planes section in the main menu but im not sure how to actually use it in game. Any help would be greatly appreciated, as im sure that im missing some key feature somewhere. However, google has let me down in explaining what to do in this situation.

Campaign: You are not allowed to select whatever aircraft you want. The Campaign limits you to what you could realistically have during that mission. The CFA-44 is not an actual aircraft in the Assault Horizon universe (well, it actually is, but that's something for another time), so therefore you can't select it.

Free Mission: You can select whatever plane you want in Free Mission mode, which is like the story campaign but you don't have to go through each mission in sequence. You can fly the CFA-44 in any story mission through this gameplay mode.

Multiplayer: The Co-Op missions are restricted by the same rules as the Campaign. But Capital Conquest, Deathmatch, and Domination allow you to select whatever plane you want unless the host changes the rules to restrict some aircraft.

darn, i really wanted to do co-op with the nosferatu. Also i tried free mission mode but seeing as i only have the first mission available which is basically the tutorial mission (Nightmare) so im guessing i cant use it on that one either.

Ah, yeah, I don't think you can select your aircraft for Nightmare, I think you're forced to the F-22 no matter what. But other missions should allow you to select whatever.

ok thanks alot, i figured it would be similar to ace combat Fires of Liberation, where you could do any plane on any mission. Guess its a little different.

Yeah, Assault Horizon is a very different game. I don't like to call it an Ace Combat game, because it's really not. It's far from it. Project Aces wanted to try something new with the series. (Most will say that it didn't work, but it's up to everyone's personal judgment.) So it's less of a focus on arcade freedom like any aircraft you want for any mission, and more on realistic story and everything like that.
