Baldur's Gate Dark Alliance 1 and 2
Is there a possible chance we might see these games coming to steam, hd enhanced or even just vanilla? They were among my favourite games of my childhood and i've got the urge to play though them again.

It's highly unlikely that any company will port a classic console game to Steam or any other distributor (Or even PC in general). Those games are way too obscure compared to Baldur's Gate 1 and Shadows of Amn.

They were never released on PC.

And they were a bit rubbish really.... BG name was tacked on to help them shift more units i suspect.

I absolutely loved those games, especially #2. Beamdog would gain a massive amount of respect from me if they decided to bring those games to the PC. I don't care what people say, I loved them, and I played the ♥♥♥♥ out of them. I would 100% buy them if they came to steam.

Those games sucked. They're nothing like the BG games on PC, basically just some boring, mindless hack'n slash DIablo clones that might appease you if you're a kid. I would never play them again. They're a joke compared to the original BG series.

Man I loved those games, some of the best hack'n slash games I ever played. You could even jump in them, I haven't seen any other top down hack'n slash game doing this anywhere near as good or even doing it at all. And the skills where really fun to mess around with.

I see here some ppl who call it a boring Diablo clone, but besides that they are both the same genre they are pretty much nothing alike. I understand if some ppl say they where disappointed because it wasn't like the BG games for the PC, but there is no way you could objectively say that the Dark Alliance games where bad games.

I played some Grim Dawn here on Steam and they got a new DLCs a short while ago and while in Grim Dawn your character can not jump the terrain and the lvl-design in the DLC does remind me of the Dark Alliance games and they started an ich to play them again, I'm probalby gonna look into emulators to see if there is a possibility to play them again on PC.

I just watched Dark Alliance played on YouTube, and I agree that it is not as good as the regular Baldur's Gate, but I would not mind buying it for my computer.

Heretic 2 does it much better! Try that game. Unfortunately, you need to fiddle with it much so that it operates properly on Windows 10, but it is a great game.

It would really be great that someday they want to carry those two games to the platform, they are very good games that I think they deserve to be on PC and Steam.

We would be lucky if they did port them considering the company that made them no longer exist, hence why we never got BG:DA 3. But if you have an xbox 360, the xbox version works on it. the gamecube version works on the wii as well

Nah man, that's just your opinion. They were THE BEST hack n' slash couch coop games in the D&D setting. Hands down, I HATED BG 1 & 2 for being too slow, TRPG vs ARPG.
