I equip an cursed belt that changes the genre of the character and i would like to know if there's a way to unequip this belt

Go to a temple and pay for a Remove Curse!

Combining what Bossonova911 and Fluo said. Go to a temple, talk to the priest, select the character portrait and then buy a remove curse. The belt will go to your inventory.

Alternate Option: If you have a spell caster who is a high enough level to cast remove curse (3rd level Priest spell, 4th level Wizard spell), just select the spell, sleep and cast it on the cursed character. It has the same effect as buying it and doesn't cost you anything.

Alternate Alternate Option: Leave it be and let it remind you not to use magic items before identifying them.

Yea just follow what everyone else wrote. When you get it there is also a spell (3rd level only for clerics) for removing curses. Its called remove curse.

It would be hilarious if there were a cursed item that turned you into Flash Gordon or Sam Spade, though.

I no wanna study: If your priest can cast level 3 spells, you can just have them memorize it, rest, and cast. The scroll for your wizard can be bought in Sorcerous Sundries in Baldur's Gate or from the merchant in the Ulgoth's Beard inn.

Well, not always. You can wear an unidentified ring of protection and still get its protection. You can tell what it is just by looking at it. Ditto the mage ring near the inn where you find Jaheira and husband. Since I've already found it before in 20 playthroughs.
