BGEE spoiler; GOLDEN PANTALOONS ;)

At the Friendly Arms Inn, third floor - there is a nobleman who mistakes me for a servant. I played along and he handed me his Golden Pantaloons!! for cleaning. (If you want to , you can steal them instead ).
When playing the old BG, I carried these pantaloons with me throughout the game, thinking there might be some use for them somewhere - because they cannot be sold or used .
So now I finally found out ;
These pantaloons are a set of three ; golden, silver and bronse , found throughout the BG-series. Which means they have to make the sequels before we can really use them. And when we have all three, we can make them into a really cool armor !!
Great to finally find out :D :D

Oh, and like " loki4321" states in his comment to this ; It is possible to get some experience points if you deliever the pantaloons back to the nobleman :)))

No, you can bring them back after some time to get some EXP ;)

The armor you get from crafting the pantaloons together makes you look like a huge iron golem. It also gives you crazy magic resistance, and AC among other things.

Not as much magic resistance as I remember, but it gives you -10 AC. Thats pretty sweet ;). And it has some weapon attachments kinds like guns.

you need too collect 3 pieces of pants
1 = gold = Baldurs gate
1 = Silver = Baldurs gate 2 SoA
1 = bronze = BG2 Throne of Baal

So you will need to ex and import your char every time ;)
But in BG2 you start without any loot.. so.. :o

When you import a character with the golden pantaloons in his inventory, you will find the golden pantaloons in the trapped picture in Irenicus's dungeon in the room with the golem and the key to Jaheira's cell.


Now i hope for the BG2EE xD

You can't fit through doorways, and therefore won't wear it long.
It also gives minus 20 to armor class, not minus 10..

It's in BG2EE. Playing it now.

Of course, you only get this at the very, very end of the game. Good for about a half-dozen big fights. at best.

Not only does your link NOT show the picture of the armour being worn, it sends you to IGN who then, if you want to access the page and press "accept" install cookies from 876 websites..yes nearly a thousand... on your PC and a stupid video at the same time which means people on a low powered laptop get BROWSER DEATH and LOCK UP. Lucky I just defraged my PC and just barely saved from a hard reboot.

Should be illegal for websites to force over 800 cookies from advertising websites (actually could be a lot more since each one could be installing more than 1 cookie)

Just a warning to everyone on laptops...

as for the original discussion...this is just a stupid eater egg thing...not for serious role-players. In canon terms how do you justify making invincible armor out of stupid cloth pantaloons...

Not for the first time, and certainly not the last, but tonight I did assemble the various pantaloons into the Big Metal Unit. At this stage it was not really necessary, but after how many hours of play, it's fun!

Just adding something you probably already know... Instead of getting the silvers as ransom, you can just steal them with a pick pocket and continue pretending to be nice...
