My game wont save :/
Everytime I save or quicksave then reload the game when I get off, my file isnt there, and I have to start over, which sucks because its a great game and I want to play it.

I'm having the same issue. It created a save game folder but the folder is empty. At least I'm only out $5.

another person had a similar problem. turned out his ducuments folder was NOT on C:\ drive. The game saves to your MY DOCUMENTS folder that should be on hard drive C: If your main drive isn't labeled " C" then you may have a problem.

When I installed Windows I moved "My Documents" to another drive for space reasons. It obviously see that it's there because it created a save folder, it just won't save to it.

A 1998 game with so many bugs ... Why they have not solved the bugs before putting on sale? Do not have time? or is it sloppy?

Bugs... Bugs, and more Bugs, Welcome to Enhacedbug version of Baldu's Gate:

i would move it back. i beleive the mechanics of the game saves only on a C: drive. or maybe make another folder called my documents and copy the baldurs gate files over...either way i think i am right in this one. the other guy i mentioned before also moved his documents folder and had the same problem. good luck.

I'm not moving it back just because they have sloppy programming. Every other game I have is able to utilize My Documents just fine where it is. I have an SSD for my System so space is limited. That's why I moved it in the first place. I'll just write off my $5 unless they fix it or I find a work around.

it's not sloppy programing it's a limitation of the game. This game is ancient from a time when multi hard drives was unheard of. It may get fixed at some point (that's if it can be done) but frankly it's a minor issue and there are other bigger problems to be handled first

No matter, I was able to get it to work by setting the .exe to run as administrator.

I have Windows 10 and it turned out my Virus protection blocked the game from saving to a "protected location". Once I allowed the program in the virus protection everything was fine. I set the exe to run as administrator before I found the blockage, not sure if that is needed.

This only happens with Baldurs gate and Baldurs gate 2 enhanced addition: they say I don’t have enough room to save. What do I do?

I never really thought about this before, but I checked and my saves are in documents on the C: drive, even though the game is installed on my E: drive. And it works fine.

is your drive full? you might need to delete some things, or maybe defrag if you have a mechanical drive (don't defrag a solid state drive)
