chaotic neutral
I always played chaotic good characters as it reflected my personality when i was younger 14-15. Now i play as chaotic neutral as it reflects my personality 26-27. Anyone else find the same hilarious circumstance?

These games were better than reading for me when i was younger, but i can honestly say its more hilarious today than before, i'd rather read a book or play chrono trigger again ha!

Chaotic Good was my choice of alignment when playing the game in my youth. I'm 28 now and I tend to lean more towards Neutral Good these days. My commitment to good still rings true, however my tendencies for chaotic behaviour have dissipated with experience. I still spend a little time considering the difference between the two when it's time to choose.

i like the chaotic nuetral thing, because it gives you the ability to swing any direction if you want, without feeling like you are cheating on your alignment.

that being said i also get a kick out of lawful good and chaotic evil just to see how it affects what happens in game and to see the responses you get when going either route.

I was flicking through my favorites and found a folder titled 'Alightments'. I recall browsing the pages within for a long time when having trouble deciding on alignment choice.

I found the descriptions of the latter two very helpful. The pictured examples (with quotes) from the first link are a great point of quick reference.

The example for Chaotic Neutral is John Constantine. The one that left me guessing was True Neutral. I had never heard of Cerebus before, and still know very little of the character.

cerebus was an underground comic book from the mid 80's, that was all black and white. it was known for it's exceptional writing. it ran for roughly 80 issues.

it was more an "adult" comic book, and in the mid 80's i was like 14 and just wanted some "ZAP" "POW" "WHAM" "SNIKT" etc. so i never really got into it myself

but i used to work in a comic book store so recognized it

Just as a fun fact, Cerebus the Aardvark was launched as a 300 issue limited series, and it finished its run: 1977 - 2004.

As for alignment in games, I almost always play good, but it varies from there. Lawful or Neutral most of the time, I'd say.

I have always tended to lean towards Neutral Good. Yeah, I've played all 3 good alignments though.

It depends on how I'm feeling when I start a new game. I played BG and its sequels for years and tried pretty much all the different alignments and party combinations - just to see what the game designers had done. I even try taking the "alignment tests" and answering as myself just too see how I rate (and once had co-workers answer as well and got some pretty big shocks from that).

I generally tend to play Chaotic Good. I've played Chaotic Neutral before, though. I never play Lawful Good.
