Never played Baldur's Gate...
I love RPG's but I've never experienced Baldur's gate. Should I just get the original or should I get this.

I would seriously recommend the original version, besides the fact you get more for your money's worth, nobody mentioned that the current Enchanced Edition has no compatibility with the bazzilion mods that came out during the past decade.

OP, buying the EE would be like buying Skyrim/Oblivion version that has no mod support.

Actually the only mod BGEE doesn't come/have the same functionality worth any is NPCproject. It has all the fixpacks, etc. and does same thing as Tutu with brining BG1 to BG2/ToB engine.

Oh really? have you tried installing Bone Hill? Dark Side of the Sword coast? Sirine's Call?Drizzt's Saga or any other of the big mods? I Have & they dont work.

And i hope you dont mean they "dont have any worth" because Bone Hill alone adds an entire new island for you to explore.

Mods arent just fixes & stat balance, some of the ones i mentioned i find essential for a second playthough (something the OP should be concerned with, i think).

hence the new experience i was trying to convay in my last post...lol...thats why modders are so important...they give you free new gameplay, new islands, new lands,a whole conversion mod...to say a studio included 10 yrs of mods is rediculous.and to me thats what pc gaming is all about...a game you cant mod sucks monkey caca...lol

I would say skip ahead to BG2 your not really going to miss anything storywise, and this enhanced edition is not really worth it when you can buy the originals and mod them. BG2 is also an improvement over the 1st in almost every area, except the inclusuion of romances one aspect I disliked about BG2 but there optional. Frankly I always preferred the second over the first by a big margin, their ment to be making an enhanced version of BG2 so may want to hold out for that.

You are right about those. Of course fan made content mods aren't included. Was referring to things like fixpacks, etc.
