Custom Voice Pack Issue
So the problem I'm having is with 2 custom voice sets in BG1EE. I got some sound clips and made the voice packs for both BG1 & BG2 by following this guide here: http://chosenofmystra.net/forums/viewtopic.php?t=745

The voices work perfectly fine in BG2 but not in 1. The weird part is that when choosing the voice for the character, the play sample button plays all the sound effects just fine, but none of them work in game (tried selecting, attacking, moving, badly wounded, and dying).

I don't really care if I have the text at the bottom or not, I just want to hear the voices. I've already made sure the file requirements are right (22khz, 16 bit mono). Any idea what's causing this issue?

EDIT: I did manage to make it work by over-writing one of the in game voices (Female2), but I would rather not have to do this. Is there something the BG1 voices don't have that BG2 voices do?

Try naming one voice set as Custom0 and the other as Custom1. Doing that made it work for me.

I had a similar problem at first until I renamed them to Custom0 and Custom1. The reason they need that name is something to do with the CHARSND.2da file. It contains info about all the sound sets including 10 empty ones known as Custom0 through to Custom9.

So I set mine up like this...

Voice set 1:
Custom0a
Custom0b
Custom0c
Custom0d
Custom0e
And so on...

Voice set 2:
Custom1a
Custom1b
Custom1c
Custom1d
Custom1e
...

Doing it this way works perfectly for me.

My sounds are inside Baldur's Gate Enhanced Edition > Lang > en_us > sounds folder.
