Werewolf island
Hi there,

after finishing wereworld island today I came across a gamestopping bug. Atleast, I don't think it's supposed to happen this way. After killing the last werewolf and sailing back to Ulgoth's beard every time my entire party except for my avatar changes into a greater werewolf. How do I stop this? Can't remember this happened all those years ago on my first playtrough.

I sincerely hope someone can help me. Already put 41 hrs into this playtrough.

I think you need to kill the head werewolf guy who is (spoiler) the guy who sent you on the mission in the first place. This should lift the curse.

Oke i'll try to scout the island once again

Nah, he is back in Ulgoth's beard. First hut you see when you return by boat.

As enteri100404 says, if you came back from the werewolf island and didn't kill Mendas in Ulgoth's Beard that's not a bug. If you did, and still get turned you can use this console command to cure the infecton: C:SetGlobal("PLAYERINFECTED","GLOBAL",0)

FYI, I get turned the minute i hit the docks. I can't even walk up to mendas. I thought entreri ment the female leader on the ship before you leave. So that command is my only help? Or am i missing something?

So on the island you first talked to Kaisha, and she told to you to kill the Karoug and his werewolfs on the northern side. You killed those and went back to Kaisha. Which caused the island people turned hostile. After that you cleared your way back to the ship, and after that going back to UB instantly turns your party in werewolfs?

I did all those things yes

Then unfortunately I have no idea what's causing it. Just use the console command before leaving the island.

If you are feeling extremely helpful you could also go to: http://forum.baldursgate.com/categories/public-bugs-bgee and make a thread about your bug and upload your zipped save. :)

If I use that command prompt the rest of my party, not my avatar, turns on the spot. It does not even matter if i put in a 1 or 0. So I decided to click the boat. After that I can engage in conversation with the man mendas hired. I notice that i can't walk a few feet without me having to click again. Click..walk a few steps. Click.. really annoying. So i vistited a priest in friendly arm inn and res'ed my party. I got werewolves... I'm screwed probably

Yea, was just about to suggest trying that too.

Edit: Also sent you a friend request. So I can chat with you if that doesn't work either.

I'm not certain there is a 2 setting for that command to be honest. It may just be 0 (off) and 1 (active/on). But hey I guess its worth a shot.

Ooooh... I think we have been going the completely wrong way about the PLAYERINFECTED value. Set it to something like 10000000 instead. I think it's actually a countdown to the moment your party runs out of time and gets turned.

Edit: I think I know the problem now OP. After you talk to Kaisha the second time you got something like 22 days to kill Mendas. This may sound like a lot, but the boat trip back to UB actually takes a loooong time. So if you spent too long at werewolf island after that point (basically probably rested a lot) the infection timer runs out the moment you finally reach UB, causing your party to instantly turn.

Thats the most likely explanation.
