how come I cant go to baulders gate

So, I beat a few missions says im on chaper v I now, and says I must go to baulders gate, but on my map I see the bridge to it and the city, but it won't let me go to either.

Is there something else I need to do. I am just wandering around doing nothing now. I have like 3 areas on my map it wont let me go to. They city/bridge to the city. Gnoll strong hold, and adhoys enclave.

I just keep wandering around kiling things when I get attacked when I go from map marker to map marker.

Anyhelp would be apprecaited

like a book you need to follow the storyline. unless you take care of the bandit problem baldurs gate is closed.

I thought I did it has it as done, on my quest log in chapter 2, ikilled the entire bandit camp and the guys in the cave.

You need to go to the north edge of the map south of the bridge, probably (the one with all of the ankhegs).

think you need to go to the jovial juggler in beregost and talk to the officer there. she'll talk to you about the bandits and when she says she's going back to Baldurs Gate the drawbridge will be down next time you go.

Yeah I found it I had to go north from the friendly inn on the far side, it took me to a little village. Then I finally got to go to the bridge. Only wasted like a year or so of extra travel time for more group it seemed like. Trying to find that one spot

you have to go to Cloakwood and kill the bandits there
